1. Purpose & Value Proposition
Unibase aims to solve critical bottlenecks in AI development. Traditional AI agents are typically stateless, forgetting interactions after each session, and operate in isolated silos with no user data control (Unibase Whitepaper). The project's goal is to build foundational infrastructure for an "Open Agent Internet," where intelligent agents can remember, learn, collaborate, and evolve autonomously across different platforms. This enables true agent interoperability and user data sovereignty.
2. Technology & Architecture
The system is built on three integrated modules. Membase is a decentralized storage layer for AI memory, supporting various data types and using zk-SNARK proofs for verification. The AIP (Agent Interoperability Protocol) defines standards for cross-agent messaging and coordination, compatible with frameworks like MCP. Unibase DA is a high-throughput data availability layer that ensures real-time access to AI data with cryptographic integrity (Unibase Whitepaper). This modular design allows AI agents to become persistent, composable on-chain services.
3. Tokenomics & Governance
The UB token is the utility and governance core of the network. Its primary utilities include paying for memory storage/retrieval, AIP messaging, and agent-to-agent payments. Governance follows a ve(3,3) model, where users lock UB to gain voting power (veUB) over protocol decisions and reward distributions. Additional mechanisms include staking UB to activate agents and "knowledge mining" to earn UB for contributing data to the memory layer, aligning long-term participation with network growth.
