Sentient’s mission is to ensure the future of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) remains open-source and community-owned, countering the trend of proprietary systems controlled by large tech companies. The project views closed-source AGI as a societal risk and seeks to build a transparent, decentralized alternative. 2. Technology & Ecosystem: The GRID

The flagship technology is the GRID (Global Research and Intelligence Directory). It’s not a single AI model but a composable network where different AI components—like specialized agents, data sources, and computing power—work together. Users interact via Sentient Chat, which routes requests to the most suitable intelligence on the network. Key technical frameworks include ROMA, an open-source system for building complex, multi-step AI agents, and fingerprinting technology to cryptographically prove model ownership and provenance.

The SENT token has a fixed total supply of 34,359,738,368 (2³⁵). Allocations are community-first: 65.55% is dedicated to community initiatives, ecosystem development, and public sale, while team and investor tokens have long vesting schedules to ensure long-term alignment.
